Michelle recveived her Master’s Degree from the University of Akron in Exercise Physiology and graduated from Mount Union College with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine. After graduation, she spent 20 years at Ohio Sports and Spine Institute in Poland as a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Office Manager.
In her spare time she enjoys teaching Exercise Physiology part-time at YSU and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys swimming and working out at the Davis YMCA, and hiking and biking in the Millcreek and Boardman Parks. She also enjoys wine making, gardening, shark fishing on Hilton Head Island, and watching her kids sporting events. Michelle has also taught classes at the local YMCA that focus on their Livestrong program for cancer survivors.
Michelle looks forward to her continued role as the Director of the Blackburn Home where she has a special place in her heart working with seniors. She looks forward to maintaining The Blackburn Home’s existing traditions while also preparing the home for enjoyment by future generations.
Michelle resides in Boardman with her husband Chuck. Their two children, Brayden and Adelynn are very active in community activities and Boardman school athletics.
