Welcome Home

The Blackburn Home sits on three acres of beautiful property at the corner of Water and Botsford Streets in the Village of Poland, Ohio. It is an elegant architecture of southern style, surrounded by trees, flowers, and a creek.

Established as a non- profit Foundation on November 15, 1934, the Home was a gift from Sylvester F. Blackburn, whose wish was that his estate be used to build a retirement home for the elderly. Many of the antique furnishings in the Home are from his estate.

In following our tradition of excellence, the Blackburn Home Board of Trustees and staff strive to maintain a "homey" and "loving" atmosphere, keeping in mind that the top priority is the comfort and security of our residents.
